Preventing downtime and keeping your content and settings safe is crucial. FleekDash stores its configuration and preferences in your WordPress database and uses your existing media and content. Backing up WordPress backs up FleekDash too.
What to back up:
WordPress database – Posts, pages, users, options, and FleekDash settings (dashboards, themes, preferences) are stored here. Use your hosting backup tool or a plugin (e.g. UpdraftPlus, BackWPup) to back up the database regularly.
WordPress files – Your wp-content folder (themes, plugins, uploads). FleekDash lives under wp-content/plugins/fleekdash. Include this in your file backups.
Uploads – Media managed in FleekDash is stored in the standard WordPress uploads directory. It’s included when you back up wp-content.
Recommendations:
Use your host’s automated backups if available, or a trusted backup plugin.
Before major FleekDash or WordPress updates, run a manual backup.
Store backups off the server (e.g. cloud storage or local copies) and test a restore from time to time.
For backup and restore procedures, refer to your hosting provider’s documentation or your chosen backup plugin’s guide.
