Your first 15 minutes with FleekDash
Get from zero to a working FleekDash dashboard in about 15 minutes. No complex setup. Install the plugin, activate it, and you're in.
Why FleekDash fits in minutes
Zero config to start – Activate and open the new admin. Defaults are sensible; you can tune later in Settings.
Same WordPress, new shell – Your site, users, and content stay in WordPress. FleekDash is a modern UI over your existing data.
First "wow" right away – Dashboard, sidebar, and clean layout are there from the first load. No long wizard.
Step 1: Install the plugin
Install FleekDash like any WordPress plugin:
From WordPress.org (when available): Plugins → Add New → search for "FleekDash" → Install Now → Activate.
From zip: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → choose the FleekDash zip → Install Now → Activate.
Manual: Upload the plugin folder to wp-content/plugins/fleekdash and activate from the Plugins screen.
After activation, you’ll typically see a link or notice to open FleekDash or Go to new admin. Your WordPress admin URL plus #/ (e.g. https://yoursite.com/wp-admin/#/) is the FleekDash entry point.
Activate your FleekDash license (optional): If you have a license key, open Settings → License Activation (#/settings/license), enter your key, and click Activate. See the short video below for the exact steps.
Step 2: Open FleekDash and land on the Dashboard
Go to wp-admin and, if needed, click the link to open the new admin (or go to wp-admin/#/).
You’ll land on the Dashboard: widgets, stats, and a clear sidebar. This is your new home.
Use the sidebar to open Posts, Media, Comments, Settings, etc. Everything is one click away.
That’s your first “wow”: one place for the main tasks, without digging through classic WordPress menus.
Step 3: Do one real task (e.g. a post or media)
Pick one thing you do every day:
Posts – Open Data Tables & Content (or Posts), see your content in a clean grid/list, and open or quick-edit a post.
Media – Open Smart Media Manager, browse or upload a file. Same WordPress media, better UI.
Settings – Open Settings from the sidebar and skim Appearance or Login. You’ll see where to change brand name, logo, and options later.
Doing one real task confirms that FleekDash is wired to your WordPress data and that your workflow still works.
Step 4: (Optional) Tweak one setting
In Settings, try one change so you see that options stick:
Appearance – Change Brand name to your site or client name and save.
Admin Bar – Switch theme (Auto / Light / Dark) if you use the admin bar.
Save and reload; your change is there. You’ve just seen that FleekDash settings persist and apply immediately.
What you’ve done in ~15 minutes
Installed and activated FleekDash.
Opened the new admin and used the Dashboard and sidebar.
Completed at least one real task (posts, media, or settings).
Optionally changed one setting and saw it persist.
From here you can get comfortable switching between the classic WordPress admin and FleekDash, clean up the workspace, or apply your branding. Each has its own guide.
