Accessibility: keyboard and focus

Built for access from the start

  • Keyboard navigation – You can navigate and act without the mouse. Tab (and Shift+Tab) move focus through interactive elements in a logical order. Buttons, links, form fields, and controls are reachable by keyboard.

  • ActivationEnter or Space activates buttons and toggles. Space often toggles checkboxes or expand/collapse. Enter submits forms or activates primary actions. Standard patterns so power users and assistive-tech users can complete tasks.

  • Visible focus – The focused element has a visible focus indicator (e.g. focus ring or outline). So you always know where focus is. No "focus disappears."

  • Focus order – Focus order follows the visual layout and reading order for left-to-right locales today. When RTL shell layout ships, focus order will follow the mirrored reading order. Modals and drawers trap focus and return it when closed so keyboard users don't get lost.

Benefit: The admin works for keyboard-only users and for assistive technology. Built for access from the start.
