FleekDash 2.6.6 is headlined by Sidebar & Submenu Editing: the Menu Management drawer is now a full menu builder for top-level items, nested submenus, section titles, spacing, and icons. The same release restores Gutenberg styling after recent WordPress updates, improves Kadence and other block plugin panels, and polishes the Theme palette editor.

Parent items with submenus now open inside the drawer so you can edit the full tree without leaving Menu Management.
Expand any parent item to reveal its submenu list inside the same card.
Reorder submenu items with drag-and-drop, independent from the top-level list.
Rename or hide individual submenus the same way you already customize top-level items.
Change icons per submenu row using the theme icon picker.
At-a-glance badges show how many submenus are hidden or renamed under each parent.

Spacing and section titles
Group related items and add breathing room between blocks in the sidebar.
Add spacing between menu items at the top level or inside a submenu.
Drag the height slider to control how much vertical space each block gets.
Section titles turn a spacer into a labeled group (for example Content, Store, or Settings).
Hide the divider line while keeping the spacing, or remove the spacer entirely when you no longer need it.
Custom icons per item
Every menu row can use an icon from your active theme library.
Change icon opens a picker sourced from the theme icon map (Solar or Lucide, depending on your theme).
Icons save per role alongside renames, visibility, and order overrides.
Reset icon clears your choice and restores the default WordPress icon for that item.
Sidebar settings
A new Sidebar settings modal inside Menu Management sets defaults for the whole site and for users who have not changed the sidebar on their own.
Sidebar defaults (users can still override these from the sidebar menu):
Floating style, dark sidebar style, auto-hide, and WordPress-style parent clicks (click a parent item to open its first submenu page, like classic wp-admin).

Popover submenus instead of inline expansion.
When some users already changed the sidebar locally, an info banner shows how many overrides exist and lets admins Remove all in one click.
What's Improved
Menu Management
Live preview stays in the sidebar while you reorder, rename, hide, or restyle items and submenus in the drawer.
Role preview still lets you switch roles while editing and see inherited overrides, now including nested submenu changes.
Menu search in the drawer highlights matches and scrolls the list to the first hit, with a clear action when nothing matches.
Reset to default asks for confirmation before clearing all overrides for the selected role.
Rename limits keep labels readable and consistent across the sidebar and saved overrides.
Menu stability after plugin changes, network admin visits, and rapid edits: the sidebar refreshes with the correct WordPress menu instead of stale or partial trees.
Auto-hide and site defaults stay in sync so sidebar behavior matches what admins configure in Menu Management.
Theme palette editor
Open Theme Management to tune global palettes and brand colors.
Flatter palette editor layout removes nested cards and extra headers so color groups are easier to scan.
Clearer unsaved state: the Unsaved badge appears only when palette edits are pending save, aligned with the save action.
Smoother live preview while dragging colors, with more consistent surfaces between the picker, preview, and the rest of the admin.
Transparency slider controls surface opacity predictably again on pale card styles.
Gutenberg and embedded WordPress screens
Scoped block editor styling loads a dedicated Gutenberg stylesheet so FleekDash theming no longer pulls in unrelated wp-admin list styles that fought WordPress components.
WordPress 7.1 light mode keeps the editor canvas white on first paint instead of flashing a gray shell background.
Block toolbar chrome matches WordPress corner radii again (no square outline around a rounded toolbar).
Embedded wp-admin screens open faster, with clearer loading states when you navigate inside FleekDash.
What's Fixed
Gutenberg, Kadence, and block plugins
Gutenberg styling restored after WordPress core updates: block editor buttons, toolbars, and panels look correct inside FleekDash again.
Kadence block panels and similar plugin sidebars no longer inherit broken backgrounds, checkbox colors, or popover overrides from overly broad FleekDash rules.
Third-party block controls (side panels, animation settings, checkboxes) stay usable instead of showing pink squares or flat broken chrome.
Admin bar and editors
Admin bar logo no longer duplicates the WordPress site icon when both are present.
Create actions respect per post type open in new tab rules and surface clearer errors when creation fails.
Incompatible page builders automatically open in a new tab when FleekDash cannot embed them safely inside the shell.
