When we started working on our plans for FleekDash Cloud, we knew we had a hard task ahead of us, as we didn’t want to just be a wrapper on top of AWS or Cloudflare. With no vendors to lean on, we wanted to customize every piece in the platform to create the most complete developer experience we can imagine.

We wanted to create a developer experience that rethinks how an idea goes to production and scale, without worries, without limits.

Another benefit of this approach is the ability to control the cost of building with FleekDash as we reduce vendor dependency. Making FleekDash’s pricing more accessible as part of our mission.

Together with the open-source community, FleekDash Cloud has reached General Availability (GA). We're excited to share FleekDash Cloud's journey towards GA with you.

The journey so far

The milestone we achieved today officially started 26 months ago when we launched FleekDash private beta and enrolled users onto the platform bit by bit. Since then, we have reached many achievements before taking Cloud to the next level.

To become Generally Available, we set milestones across our journey to reach over time.

FleekDash has been and continues to be security-driven. From the very beginning, we ensured security measures, like encryption and abuse protection, were built into FleekDash Cloud, and were easy to manage from the Console. Over the past year, we have taken security and compliance measures up a notch by adhering to GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and SOC 2 Type 2 compliance regulations.

Global distribution

One of the exciting releases this year was the announcement of the FleekDash Network. A network of cloud regions and edge locations (edges) to improve FleekDash Cloud availability, performance, and compliance with local regulations. We started with one region, Frankfurt, and we now have two more up and running, and a lot more to come. FleekDash is committed to expanding the number of regions to ensure a great experience, regardless of location.

We aim to deliver a great experience by reducing latency and ensuring you can build on top of FleekDash Cloud no matter your location.
