Step-by-step workflows

Common workflows in practice

Find and approve pending posts

  1. Open Posts (#/posts).

  2. Click the Pending status filter. The grid shows only pending posts.

  3. Optionally add author or search to narrow further.

  4. For one post: use the Status cell dropdown and set to Published (or use Edit then publish in the editor).

  5. For many: you can use the Dashboard "Approve All" (see Dashboard) or approve one by one here.

  6. Click Refresh if counts or list look stale.

Duplicate a post and edit the copy

  1. Open Posts and find the post (filters/search as needed).

  2. Click Duplicate in the row actions. Wait for the success toast.

  3. The new post appears (often at the top). It is usually in Draft.

  4. Click Edit to open it in Gutenberg, or change title/status inline.

  5. Publish when ready.

Customize columns and order

  1. Open Posts (or Pages / your CPT).

  2. Click the Column manager button in the header.

  3. In the panel: drag columns to reorder, use the switch or eye to show/hide, click edit to rename a header. Close the panel.

  4. State is saved automatically. Reopen the panel and use Reset to defaults if you want the original layout back.

Filter by author and label, then search

  1. Open Posts.

  2. Add a filter: Author = desired user (via PostFilters or PostFilterAdd).

  3. Add another: Label/Tag = desired term.

  4. Check the summary ("Showing X of Y with …").

  5. Type in the Search box to further narrow by keyword. Clear search or clear all filters to start over.
