AI Assistant not in menu – The item may be hidden if the feature is not enabled (plan or Labs). Go to Settings → Labs and enable AI Assistant (or equivalent). If your plan doesn't include it, you may see an upgrade or gate message.
"AI Provider Not Active" – Configure and activate a provider in Settings → AI (#/settings/ai). Add a valid API key and save. Reload the AI Assistant page.
No context in answers – Context (current post, comment) is sent when you open the assistant from a context-aware place (e.g. post edit, comment reply). If you open from the sidebar without a specific screen, the assistant may not have post/comment context. Try opening the assistant from the relevant screen or describe the context in your message (e.g. "I'm editing a post about X, suggest a title").
Artifacts not showing – Artifact support (e.g. "Apply draft") depends on plan and implementation. If you don't see Apply/Use buttons, you can still copy the assistant's reply from the chat and paste it into the post or comment field.
Slow or no response – Check your network and API key (e.g. quota, validity). Ensure the AI provider is active in Settings → AI. If the request times out, try a shorter message or try again.
Modal vs page – Opening from the header or Command Bar usually opens the assistant in a modal. Opening from the sidebar goes to the full page (#/ai-assistant). Both use the same assistant; threads and history may sync depending on implementation.
