Four key metrics in one row
Below the header, four KPI cards summarize the main metrics for the selected period. Each card shows:
A value (e.g. unique visitors count, page views, bounce rate %, average session duration).
A change vs. previous period (e.g. +12% or -3%) with a positive/negative style so you see at a glance if the metric improved or worsened.
A mini line chart (sparkline) for the same metric over the selected range.
Subtitle (e.g. "Unique Visitors", "Page Views", "Bounce Rate", "Avg. Session").
The four default KPIs:
Unique Visitors – Count of unique visitors; change % vs. previous period.
Page Views – Total page views; change % vs. previous period.
Bounce Rate – Bounce rate as a percentage; for bounce rate, a decrease is usually good, so the "positive/negative" styling may be inverted (e.g. negative change = green).
Avg. Session – Average session duration, formatted (e.g. "2m", "45s"); change % vs. previous period.
When Live is enabled:
An Active Now (or "Active visitors") KPI card appears (e.g. as the first card). It shows how many visitors are currently on the site and refreshes automatically (e.g. every 10 seconds). No sparkline or period comparison. Just the current count and a short description like "Visitors currently on site".
Loading and errors: While data is loading, the KPI area shows skeleton placeholders. On error, an error message is shown so you know the request failed.
Benefit: See the four key metrics and "who's on now" in one row without opening multiple reports.
