Delete comment

Remove a comment permanently

  • Delete (permanent): Row action Delete (or "Delete permanently") removes the comment from the database. A confirmation drawer or dialog may ask you to confirm. After confirm, the comment is deleted and the row disappears from the grid. Use with care; deletion is usually irreversible.

  • Trash vs Delete: Trash moves the comment to Trash (recoverable); Delete permanently removes it. So "Trash" for moderation, "Delete" when you're sure you don't need it.

In practice

Comment Manager — permanent delete, confirmation; Trash vs Delete. On this page, Remove a comment permanently is covered in detail: what it looks like in the admin, the exact controls it exposes, and how it behaves when you use it day to day. The sections above walk through Shortcuts in order, so you can skim headings and jump straight to the part you need. Because remove a comment permanently is part of Comment Manager — a redesigned comments grid with inline moderation and AI-assisted replies — the settings you touch here interact with the rest of the feature; when in doubt, open the feature overview and follow the docs in order.
