One box for all content and navigation
When the Command Bar is open, the search field at the top is Search:
What it searches – Posts (and other post types), pages, users, comments, menu items (sidebar navigation), and settings (or other configured types). Results are combined in one list, often grouped by type (e.g. Posts, Users, Menu, Shortcuts).
How it works – Type your query. Search runs with a short debounce (e.g. 200 ms). Results appear below: click or press Enter on an item to open it (navigate to the URL or run the action). You don't need to choose "search posts" or "search users" first. One query returns everything that matches.
Index – Content may be indexed (e.g. locally or via API) for fast, fuzzy search. The first time you open the bar or after settings change, the index may build briefly; a progress indicator may show in the footer when indexing is in progress.
Remote fallback – If local (e.g. FlexSearch) doesn't have enough data, search can fall back to a remote API so you still get results. Behavior depends on your FleekDash configuration.
Benefit: One box for all content and navigation. No switching sections to find a post or a screen.
