Instant results as you type
Results – Listed below the search field, often in groups (e.g. Posts, Users, Menu, Shortcuts). Each row shows a label, optional subtitle or meta (e.g. post type, date), and maybe an icon. Click or keyboard select + Enter to open or run the item.
Suggestions – When the field is empty or has little input, suggestions (e.g. common queries or popular actions) may appear so you can pick one without typing fully.
Recent items – Recently opened items (e.g. posts, pages, screens you selected from the Command Bar) can appear in a "Recent" section so you can jump back with one click. This reduces retyping the same search.
Empty state – If there are no results, the bar may show an empty state message or suggest checking the query or search settings.
Benefit: Instant results as you type; suggestions and recent items so you find things faster.
