Inspect and edit without leaving the page
Detail panel (side panel)
Double-click a media item (or use "View details" / "Open" from the context menu) to open a side panel with:
Preview: Image/video/audio player or document icon.
Editable fields: Title, Alt text, Caption, Description (WordPress media meta). Edit in place and click Save; the API updates the attachment and the panel/list refresh.
Copy URL: Button to copy the file URL to the clipboard.
Click outside the panel or use the close button to dismiss it. Selection and scroll position in the grid stay as they were.
Edit metadata and get the URL without opening WordPress or a new tab.
Context menu (right-click)
On a media item: Open detail panel, Move to folder, Delete, Copy URL, etc.
On a folder: Rename, Delete, Move to root, Icon color (submenu with color dots and "Clear color").
On empty area: Create folder (if supported).
Fast actions where you are, without opening the toolbar or a modal first.
