Workflows

Common tasks, step by step

Upload and put in a folder

  1. In the sidebar, select the folder where you want the files (or leave "All Media" for root).

  2. Click Upload and choose files, or drag files from your desktop onto the main content area.

  3. Wait for uploads to finish (progress in the upload zone). The new items appear in the grid and are already in the selected folder.

Move many files into a folder (drag-and-drop)

  1. In the grid, select the files (click, Ctrl+click, or Shift+click).

  2. Drag one of the selected items onto the target folder (in the sidebar or as a folder card in the grid).

  3. Release to drop. The list refreshes; all selected items are now in that folder. No page reload.

Organize folders (create, color, move)

  1. Create: Click "Create folder" in the sidebar (or use context menu). Enter name, choose parent, confirm.

  2. Color: Right-click a folder → Icon color → pick a color. The icon updates immediately.

  3. Move: Drag the folder in the sidebar onto "All Media" (root) or onto another folder. Tree refreshes.

Find a file and edit its metadata

  1. Use type filter (e.g. Photos) and search (filename or title) to narrow the list.

  2. Double-click the item to open the detail panel.

  3. Edit Title, Alt text, Caption, or Description and click Save. Copy URL if needed.

  4. Close the panel; the grid shows the updated title/alt.

Bulk delete or move

  1. Select multiple items (Ctrl/Shift in grid or list).

  2. Use the toolbar Delete (confirm) or Move to folder (choose folder). Or right-click → same actions.

  3. List refreshes after the action.

Use WordPress upload screen (WP mode)

  1. Click WP mode (or "WordPress upload") in the header.

  2. You're taken to the default WordPress upload page (#/wp/upload.php) so you can use plugins or workflows that only work there. Return to FleekDash Media via the menu when done.
